Our Programme
Toddler
During the first 3 years of life, your child develops more rapidly than at any other time. During this phase, your child absorbs large amounts of information from the environment through observation and experiences. These are the years that lay the foundation for later learning—and the stronger the
foundation, the more the child will be able to build upon it.
The transition of a child from toddlerhood to the play-school years is an emotional one for both the mother and the child. The activities at ‘s Mother-Toddler program are aimed to understand the emotional, social, and physical needs of a child so that both the parent and the child are well prepared when the time for transition arrives.
As much as young children need to interact with other kids of their age, so do parents who need a relaxed space to meet other parents. While toddlers learn the concept of sharing and enjoy playing with other toddlers, the activities aid their physical and emotional growth.
Montessori Infant & Toddler programs offer a curriculum that emerges from each child’s unique skills and interests. Based on daily observations, teachers introduce new materials and activities that pique curiosity and stimulate learning. Learning objectives for your child at this age include developing skills such as language, concentration, problem-solving, visual discrimination, and physical coordination.
Our Toddler program is designed for children between the age group of 1.8 years to 3 years. At The Nursery, in Toddler a child is involved in a myriad of activities that focus on fun learning through rhymes, story-telling, puppet play, character play, etc. The program aims at developing writing and reading readiness, cognition, socialization, sensorial learning, and life skills. To develop their fine motor skills, children are made to scribble and color with crayons. They are also involved in fingerprinting, object printing, and tearing and pasting activities. For the development of large muscles of the body, gross motor activities range from gymnastics and running and jumping activities to dancing. In this program, a child is also introduced to pre-reading skills that involve recognition of alphabets and numbers.
Nursery
This program has been aptly designed for the developmental requirements of children between the age group of 3 to 4 years. In Nursery, we continue to develop hands-on activities including coloring, tearing and pasting activities, rhymes, stories, character play, games, etc. Activities may range from nursery rhymes to rhyming word games, from picture reading to show and tell, from the classification of objects to sequencing, and from exploratory play to matching and sorting. Introduction to writing, phonological activities, and experiential learning along with life skills and other activities to enhance other domains of development are the other highlights of this program.
The Natkhat Kids Play School is a place where children play to learn: about new objects, ideas, and situations and about new ways to think. It’s also where they encounter concepts that prepare them for future lessons in reading, writing, math, problem-solving, creative thinking, and social development.
The world of Nursery at Natkhat Kids Play School revolves around more than just alphabets and numbers. We provide a learning environment that facilitates spiritual, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. The evolution of fine and gross motor skills and academics is fulfilled through playtime, games, exercise, arts and crafts, and storytime. Our usage of carefully prepared material and activities help your child grow with personal independence, and develop concentration, self-motivation, and a genuine love of learning. The combination of our defined social structure and intellectual atmosphere propels the unique ability of children at this age to absorb their environment, language, and culture.
3-4-year-old children are old enough to be prepared for basic education that will prepare them for higher education.
Our nursery program is equipped with the best syllabus to suffice all your child’s intellectual and physical needs and prepare them to receive future education that will be imparted to them in the right way.
Lower Kindergarten (L.K.G.)
LKG stands for Lower Kindergarten. Kindergarten specifies a babysitter or nursery school for the 4-5 years old children. It is a German word that literally means “garden for children”. The duration of LKG is one year. The children spend around 3-4 hours in LKG a day and are engaged in a wide range of lessons, learning activities, and recreational activities.
This program is designed for kids between the age group of 4-5 years. At the Nurtuary, the skills that had been honed in the Nursery program are allowed to go through experimenting with the next level of learning where pre-learned concepts meet application in the LKG program. Along with plenty of constructive and joyful activities second language (Hindi) is introduced in the LKG curriculum.
In the Indian education system, there are 4 years of elementary education before primary education. These four years are Toddler, Nursery, LKG (Lower Kindergarten), and UKG (Upper Kindergarten). This primary education is very important as it helps build a strong foundation of education and makes children more comfortable with primary education.
Lower Kindergarten contains the basic sessions of writing, playing, singing, painting, music, etc. It is an important basic building block that prepares kids for primary education.
Upper Kindergarten (U.K.G.)
This program has been developed for children between the age group of 5-6 years. It caters to children who are in the last level of Preschool education and ready to enter formal schools. Our UKG curriculum allows children to employ their learning of alphabets, phonetics, numbers, and logical reasoning that have been imbibed over the years into the next level of learning in the form of sentence formation, advanced reading, and writing activities, doing additions and subtractions, etc. At the same time element of fun, joy and excitement are included in the routine practices to make it fun learning.
All our early childhood education programs which precede UKG are aimed at joyful learning experiences. UKG is a no different program by that means; play still being one of the crucial activities in this program. It also includes activities that reinforce the various themes picked up in previous programs with adequate opportunities for hands-on experience. Additionally, the program engages your child in school-readiness activities such as reading, writing, counting, number recognition, and problem-solving. These activities are conducted in a purposeful yet fun-filled manner and are a part of our open curriculum. Children automatically share, learn from interactions with each other and develop collaborative skills. This helps in building confidence, respect for other’s differences, and joy in helping each other.
With the conclusion of our UKG program, the pre-primary education of your child is complete and they are ready to learn through primary education.
